Question : Cleaning tapes in Commvault

I get lots of information errors in the log saying
Number of media in the scratch pool [Email Archiver Copy] inside the library [Second Tape Library] is less than the minimum required number, [1].

Or
Number of media in the scratch pool [Cleaning Tapes] inside the library [First Tape Library] is less than the minimum required number, [1].

These are just annoying me.
Apart from changing log options to not show minor issues, can I get rid of these.

Also the information is untrue
Each library has its own cleaning tape in it.

Is there somewhere I have to let commvault know that slot 3 is for cleaning?
It's set in the tape loader, but commvault always shows the tapes as an unknown type.

Answer : Cleaning tapes in Commvault

In order to stop the messages occuring in the logs you will need to right click on the problem Media Groups, select Properties, and then change the Low Watermark Level to 0.

With regards to the Cleaning Tapes, from the error message it appears as though your "Cleaning Tapes" media group is a Scratch Group instead of a Cleaning Media group. You may need to recreate it, set the media type to Cleaning Media, and then move the cleaning tape into that media group.
