Question : Saving high resolution Google Earth images

Is there a computer program that can save a Google Earth (or similar products such as Yahoo Maps or Bing Maps) image in high resolution? I.e. I select an area of interest and it saves that area in the highest possible resolution? Because taking a screenshot (with the Prtsc key) only saves the image at the screen resolution.

What I have been doing in zooming in to different sections of the area of interest, and then saving each image, and then sticthing all the images together later, but as you can imagine, this is a time consuming and error-prone process.

Answer : Saving high resolution Google Earth images

This is possible only of these web apps allow for a higher end feature

See, the 'other' end has to provision the high res pictures for you; there is nothing you can do on your end to put a magic wand to get a high res output.

BTW, Google Earth allows you to email your images/views...
