Question : ESX(i) Virtual Servers Do Not Power Back On After Power Outage

Good Morning -

Our company has 3-4 ESX & ESXi servers running multiple VMs in different locations.  Unfortunatly, a couple have not had a UPS attached to them yet.

Over the past couple of weeks, the power has gone out twice at one location that houses two of them causing them to shut off completely.  Even though ESX, itself, came back up, the VMs did not automatically turn back on.  Therefore, I had to open vSphere and do so manually.

How may I get the VMs to power back on automatically once ESX restarts?  It would be nice to set individual ones to do so, but I'll take what I can get.

Thanks!

Log into your host(s), click on the Configuration tab, then Virtual Machine Startup/Shutdown link; then, click on the Properties link in the upper right of the screen, check the box to enable startup/shutdown, and move your VMs up to the appropriate area to start up.
