Question : changed my boot disk controller type and now unable to boot

So I have a machine that I needed to extend it's hard drive for.

It had scsi controller type paravirtual and I was unable to extend it via gparted unless i changed the controller type which I have since done to LSI Logic Parallel. I then booted gparted and then changed my controller type back only to find I am unable to boot windows anymore :(

I have attempted to run a repair however no hard disks are found.

Running windows 2003 std x86 on esx 4 update 1

I'm stumped so any help greatly appreciated!

Answer : changed my boot disk controller type and now unable to boot

If you change your SCSI back to LSI Logic Parallel...will it boot?

According to this URL: http://vconfessions.wordpress.com/2008/02/14/changing-vmware-scsi-controller/, W2K3 Server VMs run best with the LSI controller. If it does boot, is there an inherent need to use Paravirtual?

What VMware platform are you using?...ESX, ESXi, Server, etc.?
