Question : increase storage on thick provisioned virtual machine

I have a virtual server that ran out of disk space.  The disk is provisioned as thick, not thin.  How can I increase the size of the disk?  Thanks for your help.

Are there any Snapshots? You cant resize with active Snapshots.
