Question : Translate web site

Hi guys

I have a large website in english, i need to do the same website in diferent languages, what should be the best approach for this project,
should i create independant web sites in different languages or should i add a script to the current one, if so which one is the easier and faster to use.

What if i use google translate, what other options do i have?

If its your PHP site then you can use Joomla software you can translate your site and yes you have to put the word to word translation from English to another language.
