Question : PXE-E55: ProxyDHCP service did not reply to request  on port 4011 Using SCCM 2007

Hello,

I have SCCM 2007 SP2 server built on server 2008 SP2. This SCCM has WDS and MDT 2008 running on it. I have configured the SCCM server to deploy Windows XP SP3 to HP Desktops. The DHCP server is on another server 2008 SP2.
The client got its pxe-client address from the DHCP server but it could not get to the boot section of the process. It get this error:

PXE-E55: ProxyDHCP service did not reply to request  on port 4011.

Please help me I am stuck here and I have checked around to see If I could find a resolution but could not find one.

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Abassydo

Answer : PXE-E55: ProxyDHCP service did not reply to request  on port 4011 Using SCCM 2007

This issue can occur when the DHCP server has the following Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) options set:
#60 = Client Identifier (set to "PXEClient")
#66 = Boot Server Host Name
#67 = BootFile Name
When the initial DHCP offer from the DHCP server contains these boot options, an attempt is made to connect to port 4011 on the DHCP server. This offer fails if the PXE server is on another computer.

Is your PXE server in the routers IP helper?
