Question : Zebra LP 2844 label printer prints the first print job successfully, subsequent print jobs after skip labels and/or print partial data on labels until computer is rebooted.
I've got a Zebra LP 2844 label printer and am experiencing the strangest problem. The first print job will print all the required labels with no problems. But, subsequent print jobs will skip labels during the print job, or some labels will be missing some information on them. If I reboot the PC, I can reprint that print job and all of the labels print fine. Then on the next print job, the issue occurs and the cycle continues.
I am using the USB interface and do not see any conflicting printers on that printer port that's being used. I updated the firmware to the latest version from Zebra's website, and have tried 3 different drivers (2 from Zebra and 1 from Seagull Scientific), but all yield the same results.
I don't believe there's a problem with the application printing the tags because I have hundreds of customers on the same application printing tags without a problem.
I've reset the printer countless times and changed the label stock and type of label stock, all giving the same results. I confirmed my printer is in Page Mode, which I believe is correct. I've even followed the steps to reset the printer back to factory defaults.
After 3 hours of troubleshooting all I have been able to do is consistently recreate the issue, which is a step in the right direction I guess. Now I am stuck trying to figure out a fix!
Answer : Zebra LP 2844 label printer prints the first print job successfully, subsequent print jobs after skip labels and/or print partial data on labels until computer is rebooted.
Cannot seem to find a solution. Haven't heard from anyone else, so I am going to close this.
