Question : How to restrict the bandwidth for Cisco router and ASA box
My internet ISP router has connected to a Cisco router and ASA router. Both box has shared the bandwidth of 4Mbps on the internet.
Is it possible to restrict the bandwidth usage on each of the box during congestion, say 1Mpbs for Cisco router and 3Mbps for ASA box during congestion.
Thanks
Answer : How to restrict the bandwidth for Cisco router and ASA box
You would just need to restrict the traffic on the lower connection, not the larger connection as in my example. If you are trying to get a 25%/75% ratio then limiting one of the devices to 1mbps will allow the other one up to 3mbps at all times.
