Question : Outlook not attack shortcut (lnk) attach directly the file

Hi,

we have just updated to Exchange 2010 and users tell me that when they attach in a Outlook mail a .lnk shortcut in the domain to a word document in their server, Outlook attach directly the document not the lnk.

They say me that with exchange 2003 they attach directly the lnk without problem, I have been looking and do no found nothing about this, I have all ready see Leve1remove and I have disabled the "Attachment Filter agent" in exhcnage 2010.

Regards.

Answer : Outlook not attack shortcut (lnk) attach directly the file

Alternately, you could also try to copy the shortcut (right click and Copy) and paste the shortcut directly into your message body (edit/Paste or Ctrl+V). Pasting the shortcut directly into the message should get around Outlook's security block for the .lnk file attachement.
