Question : Running Real VNC over wifi
Hi Experts,
I have recentley installed Real VNC on all the clients in our college network. I can access all of the PC's through VNC apart from a select few that connect to the network wirelessly through a Netgear Access point. The only other difference with these PCs compared to the rest of the network is that they run Sophos Antivirus instead of Symantec which the rest of the network uses. The Sophos Firewall is not in use. Just the antivirus. All the PCs run XP Pro.
Any ideas on why these PCs cannot be view with Real VNC? I can ping them from command prompt.
FYI the access point does not appear to have any settings relating to port blocking etc.
Thank you
Answer : Running Real VNC over wifi
Sorry. We just worked it out. Windows Firewall was switched on and we just had to add VNC to the exceptions list.
