Question : SQL Express 2008 R2 not showing instance or server name
Hi EE,
I've recently installed SQL Express 2008 R2 on a local server but for some reason I can only see the server name. I cannot see the instance name. The only thing appearing is the local machine name.
I've attached a screenshoot.
Any ideas?

Answer : SQL Express 2008 R2 not showing instance or server name
if you didn't mention any instance name during the installation, it will be installed as a default instance , in that case it will be localhost
