Question : Migrating Domain Controller + AD DS from W2k3 to W2K8 R2

I took over as a System Admin at a new Company and the guy before me P2V'd the Domain Controller and now I am
Getting error messages and Time Sync issues when I reboot the server. I don't have the error messag but it says that the AD Data Base has been restored in an improper way
and I looked up the error message and it said I had to demote the DC and move the AD Database and Promote a new DC.

Can anyone tell me how to MIgrage my DC from Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2008 without messing up my AD Database?

First thing is first you need to get your current AD running properly which that hotfix hopefully will fix it properly.

Then the steps to migrate are pretty easy with this detailed steps.
