Question : Accessing OWA from 2 different exchange servers on the one LAN.

So I have just installed another DC running Windows 2003 + Exchange 2003. In know it is old, but I had to work with what we have.

The old Windows 2000 server with Exchange 2000 is still sitting there and working.

My question is, whilst I am testing and not wanting to decommision the old W2K server just yet, can I get OWA access for my users that are on the new server as well as the old server?

Mail is being delivered fine to the appropriate server, depending on the mailbox location, but OWA isn't working from outside the building for users, whose mailboxes are on the new server. I assume I need to get something changed on the router to make it work. But then again it may not be possible.

Anyone got this to work?

Answer : Accessing OWA from 2 different exchange servers on the one LAN.

for accessing OWA from outside the office, as you said need open the port 80 and 443 on router and point to your mail server. But if you got two mail server you can open the second one on different port and then for accessing to for example owa 2000 they use normal port but for owa 2003 they use 8080 and from your router you need to redirect 8080  to 80 and 8443 to 443.

It is very depend on your router settings. if this is the case if you give me the model I be able to help you more.
