Question : express edition and version

Does the express edition also have the same version number for the SPs as the other versions?

for example, 9.00.4305 is the latest SQL 2005 version. That will the same regardless if the edition is Ent or Exp?

it depends on the service pack you install, if you install the same service packs on these different editions then the sql engines will be the same
