Question : Incoming Passive FTP Connections to a SBS 2003 Server Failing
I just setup FTP on a client's Small Business Server 2003 server. There is no ISA. Their firewall is configured to accept connections on ports 20-21.
I can reach the server using FTP via Internet Explorer 8 if I uncheck "use passive FTP" in advanced options of IE. But, I can't figure out why it only works this way. We have it configured for anonyomous access for testing purposes at the moment.
I can reach the server just fine using the FTP command in a command prompt... remotely as well as on-site.
This would seem to me to be a port issue. Do I need to open ports 1025 - 5000 on my firewall? I don't think it will allow such a large range... plus, I've never had to do that on other servers to make FTP work properly. So, I'm leery of doing it here.
Anyone know what the issue might be?

You could try using a Timer with the update interval that you want...then enable it on MouseDown() and turn it off on MouseUp(). Update the graph in the Tick() event...haven't tried it though.
