Question : economical for farmers to feed grass in summer (& customers also?)

even though grass is plenty in summer and free, most farmers tend not to take advantage of that?

wouldn't this bring dairy price down? (less feed to buy for the cattle)  .. why is this idea not prevalent?

Answer : economical for farmers to feed grass in summer (& customers also?)

1. Free range grazing is land intensive (needs lots of space).

2. Requires herding, which is expensive.

3. Uneven diet would affect the quality of milk.

I am sure I can list another 6 reasons why it is impractical.
