Question : Group Policy setting to disable the reset button in Internet Explorer not working
Hi
We use a proxy server which limits users access on the internet. I use group policy to apply the proxy settings to the users computers.
The other group policy setting i apply is to stop people using the reset button located in Advanced tab in Internet Options as this can be used to disable the proxy settings. What i am finding though is that all the other group policy settings related to Internet Explorer work fine but users are still able to reset the browser and so bypass the proxy settings.
I thought that enabling this group policy would do something like grey out the reset button (or something like that) and so stop them from using the feature.
Have i missed another setting in order for this to work because i'm completely confused as to why this isn't working because all the other settings do work.
The servers we use are Windows Server 2003 (using Active Directory), the users machines are Windows XP (all on the same domain) and the browsers are mainly IE 8 with perhaps a few IE 7 dotted around.
Thanks
