Question : MySQL data files location

I am using MySQL for the first time with Win XP
At the moment I am using my developer machine and the connection string is working OK.
I am using Localhost and the Test connection is successfull.
I am also able to save data with the application. I am using Alpha5.
I do not understand where is the database located.
I will need to know this in order to upload the MySQL database to my remote server.
Can anyone tell me where this is please?
