Question : Backup Exec user accounts

I just created a user account on Server 2008 and want to allow the user to launch Backup Exec to view the job history page. I created a log on account in Backup Exec for that user. When I log out as the Administrator and log in to the server under the new account, it won't let me start backup Exec. I get "access denied" on the new account and when I try to log on as the Administrator in Backup Exec I get a "security specific error occured".

What version are you using? Most will only allow you to open backup exec with the account it was installed with.

Do you have the CD? you can try to install the remote manager on another computer and when you connect back to the server try out the user you created.
