Question : The Action Cannot Be Completed. The connection to Micrsoft Exchange is unavailable.

Hello fine people of Experts Exchange, I'm having some issues connecting one of my clients to an Exchange Server.  The server is running Windows Server 2008, Exchange Server 2007 and the client is connected to the server via a VPN tunnel setup with Greenbow IPSec tunnel software to a Linksys RV042.  The problem here is that I cannot get the Outlook profile manager to successfully resolve neither the server or the name when I select "check name".  I have done a ping on the FQDN name and it pings successfully to the correct IP.  I've also Telnetted into the SMTP server of the Exchange server and that works fine as well.  Not sure what is going on here considering everything resolves fine using the tools that are available.  As well the client can go to IE and enter the local name of the OWA server and connects just fine. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.  Please let me know if any further information is required to assist in troubleshooting this issue.  I'm not sure if it is a firewall issue on the server side or what.  The client is able to map a network drive on the server as well and navigate through that no problem.  Thank you very much.

Answer : The Action Cannot Be Completed. The connection to Micrsoft Exchange is unavailable.

the phone number in address book has to be configured to some IP Address.
Desktop MFC scan centers dont dial out.

If 9100C has some kinda setting where after you scan / print - it pops-up at the workstation >> then it's definitely by IP Address.
i'd start by looking at the numbers / properties.

Going to the workstation and checking if there is any "desktop software"  configured to receive from 9100C
Also try to setup a workstation with the 9100C installer software and see if it can auto-detect 9100C

Disable firewall and try that.

Let me know how this goes.
