Question : An E-mail from "Nobody"

Hi everyone,
  I received a weird in my Yahoo E-mail account. It came from a "Nobody" sender. The subject head of the letter is "[ No Subject ] " I did preview the letter and found it all blank.

  1. Has anyone here experienced this?
  2. Where did this email come from?  
  3. Is this bad? Is my email being tampered / hacked?
  4. If this is bad, what should I do to make sure I'm not hacked and this won't happen again?

Answer : An E-mail from "Nobody"

"Nobody" is the sender name used in many PHP installations when the email message headers are incomplete.  I get messages from "Nobody" all the time because I have scripts that send me an email message when certain events occur on my server.  I know from the subject line what is going on (I created the message, after all) so I do not bother with preparing a "from" header.

My advice - it is junk.  Delete it and don't worry about it.  Best, ~Ray
