Question : Configure Cisco Linksys RV042 to communicate with second network
Have a client that shares office space with another client. Primary client has OS X snow leopard server providing internet traffic on a 192.168.2.x ip scheme. The second client decided to get their own internet with cable with static ip addresses using a linksys rv042 connected to cable modem. The linksys has been configured using a 192.168.10.x scheme. The issue is the second client still needs to communicate with a computer on the primary clients system. Their systems are in the same closet and we have run a cable from the primary clients switch to a LAN port on the linksys rv042 and have it set for dynamic routing not static (it appears in order to perform static routing on this router, you have to disable the dhcp server on it). Something strange happens when a computer plugged into the linksys router starts up, it pulls its ip address, dns settings etc from the primary computers system and connects to everything on it, it does not pull the ip stuff from the linksys although it is connected to it, if I unplug the cable connected the primary client to the linksys box, of course it pulls its ip from the linksys box with the 192.168.10.x scheme and all internet traffic is routed through the cable connection. What I need to know quickly is how to get this box send all internet traffic through cable and also communicate with other network automatically. If I change manually the ip scheme to the 192.168.10.x, it no longer communicates with the primary clients computer etc.
Thanks

hmmm...not really. what are you concerned of? it should be a descriptive name, but you can always use restore filelistonly to get the logical names in the backup.
