Question : Trouble getting Outlook 2007 to connect to Exchange 2010
I have installed Exchange 2010 on a Server 2008 R2 machine. It is a single server installation with the Mailbox, Client Access, and Hub Tranport roles. I am able to send and receive mail and my certificates all seem to be in order.
OWA works flawlessly on the internet and my intranet. However, I am unable to connect to the Exchange server using Outlook 2007. Everything appears to function as I would expect during account setup. The mail server resolves and my name resolves in Active Directory as well. When I try and open Outlook for this profile it just asks for the username and password and nothing I enter will work. I have tried all combinations domain\username and username and password. OWA works perfectly and I am baffled why I can not get Outlook to work on my intranet.
I have no errors in the event log so I am having diffuclty troubleshooting this problem.

I've also read about instances of the MSExchangeRPC service not starting. You might want to check and make sure all your Exchange services have started.
