Question : Sharepoint, SQL and IIS setup

I am looking for a step-by-step method of setup for Sharepoint. Specifically, a standardized setup with suggested naming schemes and settings. SSWUG has a webinar on this topic in 2 days and I wanted to see if anyone might have the same kind of info.
