Question : Making  a P2V conversion to be hardware independent.

So i need to deploy a VM to almost every PC in our company (currently 300).

Here's the deal, the VM has to be based on  a specific image (in this case it is deployed on a Dell E6400 Laptop) as it's connecting to a different network.

What i need is a solution to make a VM out of the Laptop and deploy this VM to those 300 PC's. The issue I have is that those PC's are Laptops (4 different models) and Desktops (3 different models), which results in all kinds of BSoD's in the VM.
I'm being told that I need to make the VM a "hardware independent" one, so that it can run on each model without issues.

I've already found a utility that can apparently do this, but is no longer available. The problem is that this utility's successor dos not have the functionality......

So looking to all ideas, guides, maybe someone already went through a similar exercise???

Thanx

Checkout the utilities of Paragon, they have a utility called "Adaptive Restore", when you run that on a restored or copied image, it removes drivers etc, so you can then supply the correct ones when you first boot the system. The backup tools of paragon also have a similar option already built-in.
