Question : How to install HP 3505 printer 64 bit driver on windows 2003 server 32 bit

Hi,
I'm trying to install a HP CP3505 driver 64bit WIndows 7 driver on a WIndows Server 2003 R2 32 bit Server.

I've upgraded the 32 bit driver to the latest PCL6 HP driver on the Server.  However, when I try to install the 64 bit driver from my Windows 7 64 bit pc I cant find it.

I'm using the
Print Management MMC on my Win 7 64bit PC to browse to the printer on the server, then selecting share->additional Drivers and it asks for a driver location

I've tried looking under the spool folder and on the Win 7 CD.

How can I do this? (I'd rather not have to use the Universal Print driver as it's caused huge problems in the past....)

Yep Ithis is touching on the problem I already know they have to be the same name. There are 32 bit versions of PCL 5 & PCL6, but the 64bit driver page only lists the Universal Printer Driver.  Humph!

I've been trying to use the 64-bit Printer driver using my PC and the 64-bit Win install DVD as sources but can't find the right files.

In the end I just gave up and used the Universal Printer Driver for both 32 & 64.  Not had any problems with it so far, so perhaps HP have actually made them more reliable  (they were updated in Jun 2010).

Cheers
John
