Question : SSIS Script Task

I am trying to create a script task in SSIS in which I want to connect to a remedy database using a remedy driver. I donot want to connect using the connection manager.

Is there a way I can do this in code.

I tried referencing the reference to the Microsoft Active Data and cannot see the refernce.

Does it mean that you cannot  do this.

I am trying to do this as I have a problem extracing data from one particular field in SSIS. The field is an ntext field.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
