Question : install_on_solaris

Does anyone know if you can install oracle on Solaris 10 with 32 bit processor or you must have a 64-bit processor?

Answer : install_on_solaris

Sure they do. See the next line after it says "Solaris (SPARC) (64-bit)", it says "Solaris (x86-64)"?
This says both 32-but and 64-bit on the x86 platform. The SPARC platform is only 64-bit, but x86 still
support both 32-bit and 64-bit in the OS. In addition, both support 32-bit in the application while the OS
is 64-bit. You cannot run a 64-bit application on a 32-bit OS however.

Since I doubt that you would be asking the question if you had a 32-bit only SPARC system, I assume you are using x86. So, the question is,are the Oracle executables 32 or 64-bit. I don't know that. Where did you get them?
