Question : How to preserve "emergency" resources in Windows Server 2003 R2 x64
As of right now, I have 2 machines colocated that are running some applications that have an occasional tendency to go haywire and consume all of the resources on the machine. When it gets too severe, it prevents me from being able to RDC in and fix the problem.
Is there any way to preserve, say 10% of the system resources so that in the worst case scenario I will still be able to log in and shut these applications down?
I see there is something available for Windows Server 2008 (resource manager)... but I can't find this in 2003 R2. Anyone?
