Question : VMX fto multiple machines

I am using VMWare Workstation 7 and have built a guest O/S with all the aqpps I need on it. Is it possible to just copy the VMX file to other laptops, some exactly alike and others are not (they all have the same ver of VMWare Workstation) and add the VMX as a guest O/S on them?

All of them are remote laptops operating independent of any common network.

Answer : VMX fto multiple machines

As long as they are workstation products, you should be ok; just copy the whole VM folder (not just vmx). If you experience issues, just use vCenter Converter Standalone (http://downloads.vmware.com/d/info/datacenter_downloads/vmware_vcenter_converter_standalone/4_0) to move them.
