It depends if you're running a hardware or software raid. If you're running software raid, the above link is correct. If you're using hardware raid, the actual raid set up is handled in the bios of the raid controller, assuming the raid controller is a REAL raid controller. (some so-called raid controllers require a software portion, making them somewhat less reliable). Areca, 3ware, Adaptec and LSI make true hardware raid cards that are supported by current Linux distributions.
