Question : Barracuda Spam Filter

so i have an old barracuda 300 spam filter. i am no longer using it. is there any tricks i can do with it like loading some kind of linux shell and make it into some thing else?

While it's probably possible to repurpose it I doubt it's worth the effort. The main problem with the Barracuda appliances is the hard-coded BIOS. Check out this link - may give you a good starting point in making some changes and then moving on to building it in to something else.
