Question : Exchange on top of seconned domain controller

Dear all i had a problem with one of the most servers it was Exchange 2003 sp2  on top of DC win 2003 sp1 and i ahd a failure on the array so i lost every thing , the only thing i have now is the database of the exchange i dont know how to bring back exchange server /DC    knowing that this exchange is the main site for three more sites
any help please urgent

If you are reinstalling on same computer name, get the machine up to a level where you can install exchange on it. Don't make it a DC, it's not best practice. Then run as disaster recovery mode

The configuration is kept in AD, so you should be OK. Put service packs and updates on before you restore the data

When restoring the database one thing to note is the storage groups and database names you create on the restored server must match that on the backup data, and tick the box to say that the database can be restored from backup
