Question : How to display table of information in group header
Hi all,
I am trying to create a report in Crystal Reports that is used as a memo. The memo is essentially supposed to go to every person who is "above" a given employee/employees. In other words, it would go to the employee's supervisor, the person above his/her supervisor, and so on up to the top of the organizational chart.
The report is grouped by employee supervisor. A supervisor is supposed to be listed as the recipient of the memo, and this is to be followed by a list of everyone else who will be copied on the report. If a group of employees was supervised by employee A, and employee A was supervised by B, and B by C, the header should appear in the format :
TO: Supervisor A
CC: Supervisor B
Supervisor C
This would be followed by the detail section outputting information about each employee who falls under supervisor A.
The issue I am encountering is that there is no set limit on the number of people who would be CC'd on the report. As this is not a detail field, I'm unsure of how to make all of them list out properly. Hypothetically, there could be one, or there could be twenty. I'm guessing there has to be some straightforward way to do this. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

I think your best bet would be to use a subreport. Do you need any more pointers?
