Question : No Mailflow on exchange 2003

Although all stores are mounted and mailboxes can be accessed by outlook client. Seem to suspect it being somehow related to MTA (routing local mail), since mailboxes cannot even send mail to themselves...when i checked message tracking it says 'Unroutable report discarded'...

Been trouble shooting but no defining errors in event log...

Answer : No Mailflow on exchange 2003

Hi,

- Check the application event log of the server for any error events related to ESE.

- Suspected issue with SMTP Service.

- Reintall the Exchange using the E:\setup.exe /reintall if the problem still not fix then you need to take action as per the article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/320202

Note: Do backup the Exchange Database first.
