Question : Question on SharePoint Migration

Hello all, I have been lurking for some time and finally decided to make a post.

Company (large manufacturing) is about to migrate our SharePoint from in-house WSS 2.0 to hosted MOSS 2007. We're looking at AvePoint's DocAve SharePoint Migrator or Metalogix's SharePoint Site Migration Manager.

Does anyone have any experience with either? I've combed through the respective product websites but haven't found a whole lot besides marketing fluff. Trying to get an inside perspective here, especially if there's any information on licensing/discounting. Thanks!

Answer : Question on SharePoint Migration

There are lots of things you can configure depending on what modules you purchase (administration, deployment, backup/restore, etc).  The user guide alone is 1000 pages.

I highly recommend getting the trial.  You will know right away if you want to purchase it.  AvePoint is pretty much the industry standard for Backup/Restore, so they have a good team and are very knowlegable of SharePoint.
