You could turn off BPDU messages, in effect, stopping spanning-tree from working.
Connect to the switch
Enter "enable" mode
Enter config mode with "configure terminal" command
Run command: spanning-tree edgeport bpdufilter default
This turns off BPDU messages at the global level.
