Question : Sync to SharePoint Workspace disabled (SPF 2010)

Hi there,

I have a SharePoint Foundation 2010 site with a library that I would like to sync offline. The Sync to SharePoint Workspace option is disabled.

Some additional info:
1. Offline Client Availability was on by default and I have not changed it for the site or the library.
2. I am able to use Explorer view and the Edit in Microsoft Word feature works
3. SharePoint Foundation 2010 is hosted on Windows 2008 in IIS7
4. I do not get any errors when I try to sync, the option is simply not available, not listed under Site Actions and disabled under Library Tools - Connect and Export

Please help as I cannot find anything helpful on the net. All references to this problems indicates that the Offline Client Availability is off or Workspaces has been disabled, but I cannot see where to enable workspaces.

Thanks,
Jan

Answer : Sync to SharePoint Workspace disabled (SPF 2010)

"SPW 2010 does not support all SharePoint sites. And not all content types of SharePoint lists and libraries as shown below are supported in SPW 2010 either. Calendar, survey, and Wiki are, for example, non-supported types. A SharePoint site with a content type not supported by SPW 2010 will not have the option to “Sync to SharePoint Workspace” in SharePoint Site Actions"
