Question : sbs2003 exchange external ip change, now emails being sent are bouncing back with smtp errors.

I have ran ceicw and updated mx records as well as got the isp to do a reverse DNS.

The ISP was supposed to open port 25 (waiting for call back).

All the forwarders under dns were still the old IP, so i changed then to the new one.  The reverse lookup zone under dns still has the old ip.

What do I need to configure to get this straighten out? Default Policy?

They are receiving email, and everything else seems fine, just the emails being sent.

Answer : sbs2003 exchange external ip change, now emails being sent are bouncing back with smtp errors.

Please let us know what error message you're getting on the 'bounce back'.  It could be due to reverse DNS no longer matching the new IP - many email servers check reverse DNS entries upon receipt of new emails as a way to block spammers.  I think this is the most likely problem here....
