Question : Are there font conflicts with Snow Leopard and applications built using File Maker Pro?

When using an application called Bead Pro which is sold by a very small Australian company, and which is built on File Maker Pro, I find the fonts in many of the fields invisible.  I.e., I can copy the contents of a "blank" field which I entered prior to the specific problem ensuing, to another app like Pages and the contents become visible.  This has happened twice, and in both instances I had attempted to run a downloaded trial of File Maker and then went back to my Bead Pro app only to find that everything I had perviously entered was "gone".  Turns out it was actually there but just not visible.   I found that I could login under a Guest account and boot up the Bead Pro app and my data would then appear.  The first time this happened, a computer software developer friend was able to resolve the problem by removing all File Maker related files found in various folders.  The second time no such luck.  The company is not sure what is wrong but it appears that the font color is white or the text simply cannot be displayed with the fonts available.  The app apparently wants to display in Ariel.
