Question : windows XP - Multimedia Audio Controller missing - drivers?
There were a few problems with the Toshiba Satellite Pro laptop, and Windows XP was re-installed. Now there's no sound. There may have been no sound BEFORE the re-installation, but this laptop was rarley used, so that's not definite. XP was re-installed because the machine was slow, and may well have been infected.
Unable to get anything except the message that the Multimedia Audio Controller is missing, along with the yellow exclamation marks. I understand that this could mean that the drivers are missing.
If this is the case, how do I install them? I don;t have the XP installation disk with me right now - so that's another problem, perhaps.

Looks like this should do the trick, just let me know if it does not work right.
