Question : How can I edit my Excel list to include only one entry from each domain name

Hi,

On our Excel mailing list we have multiple entries from each company like [email protected]

For some e-mails we only want to sent a notice to one person within each company in our database and we don't really care which one.

Is there a formula to delete entries after there is one e-mail address from that domain name.

Thanks in advance for your help

I've attached a sample workbook showing how it might work.

The circular reference error message suggests that you might have put the formula in the same column as it references (i.e. column A if you used the exact formula posted). The reference to cell A1 should be to the cell containing the first email address.

If you aren't able to generalize it to your situation, could you please post a properly sanitized version of your workbook? I say "sanitized" because your workbook will be available for the entire world to download.

Layout is critical with these type of problems, but the amount of data is not. I only needed three email addresses to test my formula in my sample workbook.
