Question : access 2k7 split DB with Runtime frontend

I have to split an access 2k7 db into front end/back end. The front end will then be packaged into a runtime version for desktops with the backend on a server. My question is can I use the runtime frontend with the linked table manager to link to the server tables, or is there some other way to do it.
