Question : Oracle Forms 10 Master/Detail not displaying detail if all items are "display"

I am new to Oracle Forms 10g...
In a master/detail scenario, I want the detail data to be display only.  If ALL the items on the detail are "display item" item type, no data rows are displayed.  If one or more item(s) is a "text item" item type all data items/rows will display.  I cannot find any documentation that this should occur nor can I resolve with my limited knowledge.  Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

There's a problem with the go_block-command if there are no updatable/insertable items on the target data block. The reason seems to be that you cannot send the cursor to a display-item. In this case, I usually create a small non-datablock-textitem that is enterable and place it somewhere  nobody will realize the item is there.
