Question : free whole disk encryption software, wich is the best?

i was wondering wich is the most secure whole disk encryption software.
i'm looking for a free solution, or at the least a ery cheap one, that allow for an "unbreackable " whole disk ancryption, with preboot passphrase and keep the disk secure allso if removed from computer.
the best would be a software that fully errase the hd after a certain number of try.
atm i found the best should be truecrypt.
can you advise me something?

try renaming the file to name.iso

perhaps when you create the file it is asking you for the full name and not automatically adding the extension that nero and others will look for.
