Question : Exchange 2010 and Entourage 2008 Web Services Edition

I currently have a 2010 Exchange server coexisting with a 2003 everything on windows works fine. Including Active Sync with android and iphones.

Apparently Mac now uses EWS, and autodiscover.

Whenever I try to setup the account on the mac it succesfully finds my Exchange address
https://mail.******.com/ews/exchange.asmx
and my LDAP server DC.*****.com

Everything goes well until I get the verify screen which then returns error incorrect user name or password. Even tho I'm putting in the correct credentials.

This same thing happens when trying to use Mac Mail. 4.2 which should support exchange 2010

Answer : Exchange 2010 and Entourage 2008 Web Services Edition

You need to enable and start the computer broswer service on the 2008 DCs.
This service is disabled by default on 2008 and not enabled when DCPROMO'ing.

This service allows the PDC role holder to accumulate the disperate network segments into one master list and distribute that to the elected master browsers in each network.
