Question : SQL 2008 main plan not working

I am trying to use the SQL maint plan wizard to do some daily backups. When I click on main palns and use wizard I am getting the error:
"Agent Xp's component is turned off as part of secuirty configuration......."

What do I have to do to turn this feature on?
