Question : Upgrading Forest to 2008 R2 and Exchange 2010
I have heard of people having problems updating their schema in preparation for Exchange 2010 after the schema upgrade for 2008 R2 has been run. We plan on upgrading our Forest to 2008 R2 and then upgrading our 2007 environment to 2010. I have read a few message board posts about issues trying to run setup.com /PrepareSchema after the Forest schema has been updated for 2008 R2. Does anyone know if this is still an issue? Since we have both upgrades to do, I was wondering if we should do the Exchange 2010 first before the Forest upgrade to 2008 R2. Our Forest is currently at 2003.
