Question : SSAS best Approach or should it be SSRS
Hi,
I am an SSIS\SSRS developer and am new to SSAS.
My client wishes to be able to use an SSAS cube in order to slice and dice their data. They wish to see it at an aggregated level and then to be able to drill down to the lowest level (which in this case is booking number level).
Question is: Is SSAS the correct means of doing this. I am fairly happy with the aggregation part and the cube is ideal I would think..??... but my concern is the drilling down to booking number level, how do I do this and is this the correct approach.
The front end will be Excel. My Client is 100% commited to Microsoft so it will be a Microsoft solution
Thanks
